Step 1: Set a Budget

Step 2: Track your income and expenses

Once you have a budget, it is essential to track your income and expenses. The Financial Tracker allows you to input your data in several categories on monthly pages in the spreadsheet file. A green “Average” line is automatically inserted on all graphs, which indicates how you are doing compared to your budget after each completed month. If the green average line is above the red budget line, you are behind your budget for the year in that category. If the green line is below the red budget line, you are ahead of the game!

Step 3: Review your Graphs and Year End Report

As you fill in your budget and your income/expenses, line graphs will automatically be created in every category. Main Category Pie Graphs are also automatically created showing you the breakdown of subcategories. A Final Report is automatically created and ready for printing when the year is done.
